Middle School Math Teacher
The Willow School, seeks to employ a full time Middle School Math teacher to begin late August 2012. Willow has an integrated curriculum, a unique virtues program and is one of the most ecologically progressive elementary schools in the country. The successful candidate will be committed to Middle School education (grades 6-8), The Willow School mission, be capable of teaching mathematics at both the introductory and advanced levels in a progressive educational environment and possess a deep appreciation of the potential of children. The ideal candidate must be committed to working with a diverse group of learners in a collaborative, student-centered environment.
Qualifications include three or more years of classroom teaching experience, and, at minimum, a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. Candidates must demonstrate an engaging, innovative approach to teaching; mastery of creative and diverse methods of teaching, learning and assessment; experience with developing curriculum; ability to work collaboratively; demonstrated talent to create a positive supportive environment for students. Other contractual duties will include those expected of independent school teachers: advisory, co-curricular work, team meetings, chaperoning, and the general supervision of students.

Guest Teacher
The Willow School is actively searching to increase their substitute teacher pool. Qualified Preschool-8th grade Guest Teachers must have NJ teaching certification, teaching experience and be reliable. Guest Teachers are called upon to work in classrooms with little notice and therefore, must be able to work independently, be adaptable and able to maintain classroom schedule and routine while also providing seamless instruction.
